This is a night of sheer self-indulgence as far as I am concerned – two hours of my favourite songs made famous by rock and pop’s best piano players and performers. Some of those that I pay tribute to are Jerry Lee Lewis, Ray Charles, Little Richard, Georgie Fame, Elton John, Billy Joel, Alan Price, Stevie Wonder, Dr John, Professor Longhair, and Chas and Dave. Some of the songs that we perform are Great Balls of Fire, Blueberry Hill, Nutrocker, Bumble Boogie, Good Golly Miss Molly, Piano Man, Superstition, Crocodile Rock, What I’d Say, Root Beer Rag, Tutti Frutti, The Ballad of Bonnie and Clyde and Ray Charles’ Mess Around.
This is a ‘full throttle’ night and one in which no two performances are the same!
